How our interest-free,
AMC payment plans work

We will, with your authorization, automatically charge a pre-determined amount to your VISA, MasterCard, Discover or American Express charge card each month on the same date. If you prefer, you may send a series of postdated checks instead of using a charge card. For example: AMC $50.00 for 4 months would require four $50.00 checks each dated one month apart.

AMC monthly payment plans require that a payment be made each month and your order will ship when paid in full. Applicable shipping costs can be included with your payments.

Payment plans longer than 6 months are charged a one-time processing fee of $12.00.

Christmas Bear 2018
by Merrythought

Signed by Sarah Holmes! Sarah is the Managing Director of Merrythought and the great-granddaughter of Merrythought's founder, Gordon Holmes.

For something truly special this Christmas, look no further than Merrythought's 2018 Christmas Teddy Bear. This much-anticipated annual bear is uniquely dressed in a gorgeous bespoke wool sweater that features the famous Merrythought wishbone, interspersed with snowflakes. His stylish sky blue and white knit sweater works beautifully with his champagne colored mohair and cream velvet paws. He measures a wonderful 10 inches and five-way jointed. A tactile, bean-filled tummy makes this Teddy a great hug and the perfect weight. Christmas Bear features a cheerful hand-stitched smile and nose with the most friendly, endearing eyes. He features beautiful embroidery on his paw that proudly displays Merrythought's iconic wishbone logo and snowflakes. The addition of '2018' embroidered on his paw makes this adorable Teddy bear the perfect memento of 2018, for children or adults alike. Of course, like all Merrythought bears, he is finished with a prestigious stamp of approval: the famous Merrythought gold-and-black label stitched to the right paw - a reminder that he is made in England. Suitable for ages 3 and up. Please remove ribbon and labels before giving to a child aged below age 3. A limited edition of 200 pieces.

PLEASE NOTE: Prices may change due to changes in the British Pound/ US Dollar exchange rate.

A History Of Fine, Handmade Teddy Bears In England Since 1930

Merrythought“Merrythought has been hand-making the quintessential English teddy bear in the World Heritage Site of Ironbridge, Shropshire, since 1930 and is now the last remaining British teddy bear manufacturer. The company is a fourth generation family business founded by Mr W.G Holmes in 1930 as a diversification from his mohair mill in Yorkshire. Over the years a huge range of teddy bears, soft toys, dolls, push-along toys, rocking horses and other animals have been created in the famous factory.”

Why The Merrythought Emblem Is A Wishbone

Merrythought wishboneThe origin of the name Merrythought derives from an archaic name for a wishbone, a symbol of 'good luck'.
The wishbone has been the company's emblem since 1930.

The World-Famous Merrythought Footlabel

Merrythought bears can be easily identified by the distinctive label on their footpad - traditionally on the right foot although some earlier bears may vary.
